What do you think future computers will be like?
I think we're going to start seeing programs that will use all of a computer's available threads, instead of being coded for a specific amount. Probably also a war between AMD and Intel over how many cores they can stuff in a chip, and how many threads. I bet we'll see Hyperthreading expand to 4 threads/core before too long.
I also think SSD drives will become the standard, with optical drives only used for large amounts of data storage. We'll probably see ungodly amounts of RAM as well. 5 years ago, 4GB was a huge amount. Now it's the standard, and 8GB is only a little over the top.
